My qualifications and experience
I hold a bachelor of science (BSc) in Occupational Therapy from Bethlehem University and a Masters in Arts (MA) with a focus on Congregational and Community Care from Luther Seminary in Minnesota.
As an occupational therapist, my expertise lies in working with children dealing with Autism and developmental challenges. And since 2015, I've been honored to serve as Mental Health Counselor for various respectable community mental health agencies. In this role, I've empowered individuals across diverse age groups and populations, including children, teenagers, young adults, adults, refugees, war survivors, trauma survivors, and the LGBTQ community.
My experience in the community mental health setting has allowed me to develop my skills in a variety of approaches to support your growth, such as group modalities for peer support and building skills to cope with life's challenges and individual therapy to dive in deeply to support your growth and recovery.
Other accomplishments
A significant highlight for me was co-founding and leading the first wheelchair basketball team for youth aged 13-18 in Bethlehem, Palestine, a role I wholeheartedly embraced for three meaningful years.
My dedication to the well-being of children, adults, and families has been unwavering. For two years I hosted "Hekayat Amo Jado," a Palestinian TV talk show for children that taught about disability and promoting respect for differences.
In 2020, I authored "Eva's Unexpected Adventure," a heartfelt short story that offers insights into coping with difference, loss, and unforeseen circumstances. This narrative beautifully portrays the transformative power of support and emphasizes personal growth, adaptability, and the courage to navigate life's unexpected twists.
What is in the future of Clarity with Jadivan?
My commitment to advocacy and peace-building extends beyond my professional life, evident in my extensive volunteer work across diverse contexts. My own life experiences, including conflict, trauma, immigration, and discrimination, enrich my ability to connect with and guide others through their personal challenges.
My ultimate goal is to establish an organization dedicated to supporting and eradicating homelessness, with a specific focus on addressing the needs of the LGBTQ community. As a life coach, I bring a unique blend of empathy, validation, and strategic guidance derived from my own journey of growth, resilience, and thriving.
