Clarity Circle Privacy Policy, User Data Policy, and Terms of Use
Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Last Updated: October 9, 2026
1. Introduction
Clarity Circle is a digital mental wellness and peer-support application operated by Clarity With Jadivan, LLC ("Clarity Circle," "we," "us," or "our").
Clarity Circle is designed to help individuals reflect on their emotional well-being, record daily check-ins, develop personal support and safety plans, and connect with trusted people they choose to include in their support circle.
We recognize that mental wellness information is personal and sensitive. We are committed to explaining what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, when it may be shared, how it is protected, and how users can exercise control over their information.
This policy applies to Clarity Circle's website, progressive web application, Android application, and associated services that link to this policy.
By creating an account or using Clarity Circle, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review this policy. Where applicable law or platform policy requires consent, we will obtain the required consent separately and through an appropriate affirmative action.
2. Who Operates Clarity Circle
Clarity Circle is operated by:
Clarity With Jadivan, LLC
Website: https://jadivan.com
Application: https://circle.jadivan.com
Privacy contact: contact@circle.jadivan.com
You may contact us at the email address above with questions about this policy, requests to access or correct your information, account deletion requests, or privacy concerns.
3. Information We Collect
The information collected depends on the features you use, the permissions you grant, and the account options you select.
3.1 Account and profile information
When you register or manage an account, we may collect:
Name or display name.
Email address.
Account identifier and authentication information.
Password-related authentication data, which may be securely processed by our authentication provider rather than stored directly by Clarity Circle.
Login provider information when you use a supported third-party sign-in method.
Profile preferences and information you choose to provide.
Account status, subscription or trial eligibility, and information needed to administer access to the service.
We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, provide access to features, communicate with you about your account, and protect the service against unauthorized access.
We do not need your social media password when you use a supported third-party sign-in provider.
3.2 Mental wellness and check-in information
When you use check-in features, we may collect:
Mood or emotional well-being scores.
Responses concerning suicidal ideation or related wellness check-in questions.
Dates and times of check-ins.
Check-in history and changes to previously recorded entries.
Information you enter into related wellness features.
This information may reveal highly sensitive information about your mental or emotional health.
We use check-in information to display your personal history, support the wellness features you choose to use, provide relevant in-app functionality, and support other features you explicitly enable.
We do not use this information to sell products, create advertising profiles, or sell your personal information.
3.3 Safety plans and support information
When you create or use support plans, you may provide:
Personal coping strategies and support actions.
Skills, tools, and resources that you find helpful.
Messages or instructions you wish to use in particular circumstances.
Information associated with selected support-plan types or score ranges.
Safety-related information you choose to enter or configure.
We process this information to save and display your plans and, when you choose to use a sharing feature, deliver selected information to the recipients you designate.
Please avoid entering information that is unnecessary for your intended use of the application.
3.4 Circle members and invitations
If you invite trusted people to your support circle, we may process information such as:
The invited person's name.
Email address and, if the feature supports it, phone number.
Relationship to you, if provided.
Invitation status, membership status, and information needed to administer the circle.
Information concerning support plans or messages you choose to share with that person.
We use this information to send invitations, administer circle membership, and provide the sharing features you request.
You should only provide another person's contact information when you have an appropriate basis to do so. Please tell invited individuals about the invitation and relevant sharing arrangements when appropriate.
3.5 Notifications and reminders
If you enable notifications, we may process:
Notification preferences and reminder schedules.
Information needed to determine whether a reminder or notification should be sent.
Browser or device notification identifiers or subscription tokens, where required for push notifications.
Notification delivery status and related technical information, where available.
Notifications may be used for reminders, check-in prompts, support-related alerts, or other features you have enabled.
Notifications may appear on your device's lock screen or be visible to people with access to your device. You should consider this when choosing notification settings and deciding what information may be displayed.
You can manage available notification settings through the application, your browser, or your device settings. Disabling notifications may prevent certain reminders or alerts from being delivered.
3.6 Location information
If a location-dependent feature is available and you choose to enable it, Clarity Circle may request access to your device's location or process location information made available by your browser or device.
Location information will be used only for the feature and purpose explained to you at the time of the request.
Clarity Circle does not require you to grant location permission merely to read this policy. You may deny or revoke location permission, although features that genuinely depend on location may then be unavailable.
We will provide any additional disclosure and obtain any required consent before accessing location information in circumstances where the law or applicable platform policy requires it.
3.7 Technical, device, and usage information
When you access the application, our hosting provider, authentication services, or other technical service providers may process information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as:
IP address and general connection information.
Browser, operating system, and device characteristics.
Authentication events and session information.
Security logs, error information, and request timestamps.
Technical information needed to deliver web push notifications.
Basic service usage or diagnostic information, where generated or collected.
We use such information for authentication, troubleshooting, service reliability, abuse prevention, security monitoring, and performance improvement.
We do not intentionally collect persistent device identifiers for the purpose of linking them to sensitive mental wellness information in a manner prohibited by applicable platform policy.
3.8 Information from third-party sign-in providers
If you choose a supported third-party sign-in option, the provider may share information with us, such as your email address, name, and provider-specific account identifier, according to the permissions and authorization process you approve.
We use this information to authenticate your account and provide the service.
Your use of a third-party sign-in service is also subject to that provider's own privacy policy and terms.
3.9 Information we do not intentionally collect for advertising
Clarity Circle is intended to provide wellness and support functionality, not targeted advertising based on your mental health.
We do not sell your personal or sensitive information. We do not use your check-in scores or safety-plan contents to build advertising profiles or to serve targeted advertisements based on your mental health.
If our practices change materially, we will update this policy and obtain any additional consent required before implementing the change.
4. How We Use Information
We use information only for purposes reasonably related to operating, maintaining, securing, and improving Clarity Circle, including:
Creating and maintaining user accounts.
Authenticating users and protecting accounts.
Recording and displaying check-ins and check-in history.
Saving and displaying personal support and safety plans.
Managing support-circle invitations and membership.
Sharing information with recipients you select through an available sharing feature.
Delivering requested emails, reminders, and push notifications.
Providing account, subscription, trial, and access-management functionality.
Troubleshooting errors and maintaining service availability.
Detecting fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
Responding to user requests and providing technical support.
Complying with applicable legal obligations.
Maintaining, evaluating, and improving the service in ways consistent with this policy and applicable law.
We do not use information for unrelated purposes that would be inconsistent with the disclosures made to you or the consent you have provided.
5. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information or sensitive mental wellness data.
Information may be disclosed in the following limited circumstances.
5.1 People you choose
When you explicitly share a support plan, message, or other information with a selected circle member, that recipient receives the information included in the sharing action.
Information may also be visible to circle members when a particular feature is designed to make it available to them. The exact information shared depends on the feature and your selections.
Before sharing sensitive information, review the recipient and the contents of the information being sent.
A recipient may retain, copy, forward, or disclose information after receiving it. Removing a recipient from your circle or deleting your account cannot necessarily retrieve information that the recipient has already received.
5.2 Service providers
We may use third-party providers to operate Clarity Circle. Depending on the feature and deployment, these may include:
Supabase: authentication, database, and related backend services.
Vercel: website hosting, application delivery, and associated infrastructure.
Email delivery providers: sending invitations, account messages, or support-plan emails.
Push notification infrastructure: delivering notifications to supported browsers or devices.
Google or other supported authentication providers: authenticating users who select an available third-party sign-in option.
These providers may process information on our behalf to provide the services we request. They are not authorized by this policy to sell your sensitive information or use it for unrelated purposes.
The exact providers and data flows depend on the features and integrations enabled in the deployed application. We will update this policy if the service providers or their relevant data-processing purposes change materially.
5.3 Legal and safety-related disclosures
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, or a lawful government request.
Investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
Protect the rights, security, or property of users, Clarity Circle, or others.
Address an emergency where disclosure is legally permitted and reasonably necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
Clarity Circle is not an emergency monitoring service. A check-in, notification, or safety-plan entry should not be understood to mean that a person is being monitored in real time or that emergency assistance will automatically be dispatched.
5.4 Business transfers
If Clarity Circle or its operating business is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction where legally permitted.
Any transfer will remain subject to applicable legal requirements, including required notices or protections for sensitive information.
5.5 No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information or sensitive mental wellness information for monetary consideration. We do not permit service providers to sell your information on our behalf.
We do not share sensitive mental wellness information with advertisers for targeted advertising.
6. Data Storage and Security
Clarity Circle uses hosted application infrastructure, authentication services, and database services to provide its functionality.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, and destruction. Depending on the relevant system, safeguards may include:
Encrypted connections using HTTPS/TLS.
Authentication and session controls.
Access restrictions and database security policies.
Protection of administrative credentials and service secrets.
Security monitoring and troubleshooting procedures.
Limited access to information by personnel or service providers who need it to perform authorized tasks.
We aim to restrict access to private check-in information and support plans to the account holder and to authorized recipients where sharing is intentionally enabled.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. We cannot promise that information will never be affected by a security incident, technical failure, or unauthorized activity.
Users should use a strong, unique password where applicable, protect access to their devices, avoid sharing authentication credentials, and promptly report suspected account compromise.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable legal obligations and legitimate security requirements.
Retention may vary by category:
Account and profile information: while the account remains active and for the limited period needed to complete account closure or satisfy applicable obligations.
Check-ins and support plans: while needed to provide the user's history and requested features, until the user deletes the information or account, or until it is otherwise removed under our retention procedures.
Circle invitations and membership information: while necessary to administer invitations, membership, sharing, and related security or operational requirements.
Notification information: while necessary to provide requested notifications and maintain the relevant subscription or preference.
Security and technical logs: for a limited period appropriate to security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and legal requirements.
Backup copies: for the time reasonably required by the applicable backup and recovery process, after which they are deleted or overwritten in accordance with that process.
Where information must be retained to comply with law, resolve a dispute, investigate abuse, or protect security, we will limit the retained information to what is reasonably necessary and restrict its use to the relevant purpose.
Deleting an account may not immediately remove every residual copy from backups or records that must lawfully be retained. Such copies will be handled under applicable retention and deletion procedures and will not be kept indefinitely merely because an account has been deleted.
8. Account Deletion and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your Clarity Circle account and associated personal information.
8.1 How to request deletion
You may initiate deletion using the account-deletion functionality available in the application.
You may also use the external deletion resource:
https://circle.jadivan.com/delete-account
If that page is unavailable, contact contact@circle.jadivan.com and request account and personal data deletion.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing a request to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
8.2 What deletion means
When an account deletion request is verified and processed, we will delete or irreversibly de-identify personal information associated with the account that we are not required or otherwise legally permitted to retain.
This includes, as applicable:
Account and profile information.
Personal check-in records and history.
Support and safety plans.
Circle membership and invitation records associated with the account.
Notification subscriptions and preferences associated with the account.
Other personal information associated with the account that is within our control and is not subject to a lawful retention exception.
Information already delivered to another person, such as an email containing a shared support plan, may remain in that person's possession. We cannot guarantee deletion of copies controlled by other people or independently operated services.
8.3 Processing and exceptions
We will process deletion requests within a reasonable period and within any time limit required by applicable law.
Some information may be retained for a limited period where necessary to meet legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, investigate security incidents, or preserve records required by law.
Where permitted, we will inform you if a material legal restriction prevents us from fulfilling part of a deletion request.
Deactivating, freezing, or disabling an account is not a substitute for deletion.
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
Request access to personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of personal information.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Object to or request restrictions on certain processing.
Request a copy of eligible information in a portable format.
Complain to an appropriate data protection authority.
You can contact contact@circle.jadivan.com to submit a request.
We may need to verify your identity and clarify the scope of your request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
You can also manage certain information directly through available profile settings, check-in controls, support-plan controls, circle membership features, notification settings, and device permissions.
10. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
Clarity Circle and its service providers may use cookies, session storage, local storage, or similar technologies needed to operate the application.
These technologies may support:
Authentication and secure sessions.
User preferences.
Application functionality.
Security and service reliability.
Installation or operation of progressive web application features.
Where analytics or optional tracking technologies are enabled, we will disclose their relevant purposes and obtain consent where required by law.
You may be able to control cookies and storage through your browser. Disabling technologies essential to authentication or security may prevent some features from working properly.
11. Notifications and Email Communications
We may send essential account-related communications, such as authentication messages, password-reset emails, invitations you initiate, and service communications.
If you enable reminders or push notifications, we may send notifications in accordance with your preferences and the features you have activated.
You may disable browser or device notifications through the applicable settings. You may also be able to change reminders and notification preferences in the application.
Disabling notifications does not necessarily prevent essential account or security communications.
Clarity Circle cannot guarantee that an email or push notification will arrive, be displayed, or be read at a particular time.
12. Mental Wellness, Safety, and Emergency Disclaimer
Clarity Circle is a wellness and peer-support tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical diagnosis, treatment, crisis counseling, or emergency services.
The application does not guarantee that it can detect a mental health crisis, assess risk accurately, prevent self-harm, or ensure that another person will respond to a notification or shared plan.
Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, check-ins and safety plans are user-directed tools and are not continuously monitored by a clinician or emergency responder.
Do not rely on Clarity Circle as your sole source of support during an emergency.
If you or another person is in immediate danger in the United States, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Please do not delay contacting emergency services because you expect a circle member or Clarity Circle notification to provide immediate assistance.
13. Children's Privacy
Clarity Circle is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the legally required authorization.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact contact@circle.jadivan.com so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
Where applicable law requires parental consent, age verification, or additional protections for minors, those requirements apply.
If Clarity Circle establishes a minimum age or eligibility requirement in its registration flow or terms, users must comply with that requirement.
14. International Users and Data Transfers
Clarity Circle may use infrastructure or service providers that process information in the United States or other countries where those providers operate.
Data protection laws may differ between your country and the country where information is processed.
Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers and respect the rights available to affected individuals.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
Clarity Circle may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, database operation, email delivery, push notifications, or other features.
A third-party website or service may have its own privacy policy and terms. We encourage you to review those documents when using an external service.
Our responsibility for information processed by third parties is governed by applicable law and the relevant service arrangements. This policy does not claim to control independent services or information that another person has already received.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the application, our service providers, legal requirements, or data-handling practices.
The latest version will be published at the public privacy policy URL, with the effective date or last-updated date shown at the beginning.
If a change materially affects how sensitive personal information is collected, used, or shared, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required by law or applicable platform policy.
Your continued use of the service after an updated policy takes effect is subject to applicable consent requirements. Continued use alone will not replace affirmative consent where such consent is legally required.
